#450640 TampaSVT (User) Life is hard. It's harder if yer' stupid(J.Wayne) Platinum Boarder Posts: 4599 XS650 Bobber Update - It Lives... 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago   So, not that I was worried or anything... But, the Bobber has been torn apart for over a year and a half. So, I was pretty surprised that it fired up on the second or third kick. Starts off the remote control starter after it's been warmed up a bit, too. How cool is that... I setup a Blog to track the progress. I won't keep bringing it up here repeatedly since it's not everybody's cup-o-tea. And, well. It's not a Road Star... But, the website should be easy enough to remember. Stop by and check it out once in a while. There's nothing that'll run hot inside of it, so I kept it simple. Fireman: I'm still debating on the type of bars I want to run on it. I've got dragbars coming tomorrow or Monday. If I don't fall in love with them, I'm probably going with apes as a second choice this time. I'd love a project like that myself and the xs650 twin is the perfect motor for the setup. I really like vintage look rubber and amber headlight. It's touches like that make all the difference. I didn't read all the comments on your site, you going to paint it or go with polished tins? FWIW- The clean look works on that bike. I'll be checking in on your progress. Nice work. Keep it up! P.S.
