I was looking at the star bar and the yammahammer beach bars, those look very comfortable compared to stock

I just put beach bars on mine and there is zero interference with the windshield I post pics when I take some

Old School with style, I like it. Does the Star Bar interfere with the windshield at all? Were you able to use stock cables/wires with the bars? I too prefer the look without the windshield, but am spoiled by the comfort of the shield and Curt's Lowers. Ride Safe!

Hey Jeff,
The Star Bar does not interfere with the windshield. I kept the stock cables but they are slightly tighter than before, but only if I turn the handlebars all the way, mostly when parking. I had to re-route one of the cables on the right side out of one of the loops on the windshield, no big deal.

The only problems with the Star Bars were: 1. had to get new grips, the stock ones didn't fit, 2. there are no holes to fit the clips that hold the cables close to the handlebars. I dont know if we could just drill the holes, haven't tried it. Has anybody?

And another. It looks like the thin coat of paint does not affect the intensity of the light, it only gives it an amber tint...

NICE MOD'S. HOW WELL DO THE YELLOW LIGHTS DO?

I haven't been out at night yet since installing them, but will let you know as soon as I do!

HMN101: Just came back from a night ride and I'd like to report that the lights did just fine... As I said above, a slight amber tint, but still bright as always.
