Ricohoc- love your posts. They give me flashbacks all the time to our 3-week visit there three years ago. I loved the night markets. An example of how cheap it is to live- my daughter made 450.00 USD/month and was supplied a house to live in. She worked about 6 months (teaching English) and traveled about 6 months on what she saved the first 6 months. Quite amazing, really. And anyone with a Bachelor's Degree (in anything) can get a job teaching English. I envy you. I would expat there in a heartbeat but wife wouldn't do it. She would never leave our 3 kids and possible grandchildren. So I must live vicariously through your posts!

Appreciate the kind words, John.

Yes, it's exactly as you say. Quite an amazing low cost of living, and there are teaching opportunities for anyone who is willing.

We all have to live vicariously through Ricohoc. Hey, were those cute girls dressed in skimpy leather for bike week? By the way, are there many Road Stars there or Harleys?

Yamahas, Hondas and Harleys are the most popular big bikes here. Kawasaki is now building 900cc Vulcans here, but they're more expensive than what I paid for my 1600cc R*.

tarcon, there are cute girls dressed in skimpy you-name-it 24/7 in Thailand.
