The pump/choke mount bolts to an engine mount. Of course, leave the motor mount in place.
On both of my R*s, I removed the pump, and simply reconfigured the original mount to put the choke cable on it, but it's now higher and tighter to the tank.
Study the original mount, once you have it off, and you can easily see how that straightening out the first bend, cutting some of the bottom portion off; you can rebend further down its length, and bolt it right back up.
A little time cutting and and some grinding is all it takes, and it looks factory.
