Pics with apes 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago  
Finally got the apes on my bike. Decided to go with 12" apes so I wouldn't have to spend a ton of money replacing cables. I had to get a new brake line but there is a company here that makes them while you wait so I had them make me a stainless braided cable that would match the throttle and clutch cables. Had to re-route the clutch cable and pull some extra electrical cable out of the headlight housing but that's it. Apes cost $65 and the brake line only cost $21. Pretty cheap upgrade if you ask me. I wasn't sure if I would like the 1" diameter bars but after it was all said and done I think it looks pretty darn good. I would imagine if I went any taller they might start to look a little "skinny" but for 12" I think it looks just about right. Highway bars and Mustang seats are next! You can click on the pictures if you want to seem them a little larger.

They look good ... and I know they feel even better. Got 12 " apes on 4" risers myself (from J&P for $40 & Phatperformance for $90, respectfully) and love'em. Wanna go to 16" Kongs next, but I'm also 6'3".

I'm 5'10" and these 12" Burly's are perfect for me. Handling feels more positive as well.
