Warden, thanks for your input. I think that about sells me on the cobra fatty bars. I've seen the way some of the bars mount using some silly tabs that slide under things etc. I'm very glad to hear that they bolt solidly. Where did you get your leather covers? I'm looking for ones that work with the fatty bar and maybe have a pocket or something. Also, how's the showchrome product itself? I've seen complaints that for a company called SHOW-chrome, the quality of the product seems cheap. Iwas also a little concerned, if the fender bar is screwed into the front of the fender, would an impact not bend the whole thing? Not just the fender guard?
