very nice

the main thing is your statement: "I had a 550cc for her before and she said it was to big and strong for her and this 250cc she loves and fits her perfect."

If Mama aint happy, aint nobody happy. Looks like you have done your homework

Thank you all for the great comments. Tug I wish they made dual pipes for this bike, but I guess i'm just going to mod it to make it sound better. Smokes this is it for her. I had a 550cc for her before and she said it was to big and strong for her and this 250cc she loves and fits her perfect.

How does this size of that bike keep up with your R* at highway speeds? I am interested in getting my wife a bike but she is only ~130# and a very slight build . She says my bike scares her because of the size and that she would never even consider trying to ride a bike like mine. Looking for something that is comfortable for her to handle but something that will keep up on the highway but won't be screaming it's lungs out. Thanks

For a 250 the Virago is pretty speedy but does scream its lungs out on the freeway that's why my next mod will be to change the sprocket from a 16/45 to a 17/38 tooth. That should fix the issue. My wife is 140 and the bike looks a bit small thats why I added the hardbags and now the bike looks a bit bigger. Might be adding a trunk also.

Well Just hope she stays that way my wife is starting to lose interest I miss her riding with me. Thats why my bike is starting to look more like a solo ride.

By the way BlackRain, That 250 is looking good

Very impressive job on the bike. I have to ask, where did you find such a great deal? I must believe I'm looking in all the wrong places

I thought about a set of saddle bags like that for my Road Star;and wondered about the durability of the side doors?
I think the set up you did is a cool way to go. I am retro fitting a Road Star front seat to the passenger spot on my bike to give my wife more comfort, and mod.the look a little.

That's a nice little bike. The bags look great. You'll have to stud it out like you did your trunk backrest. I still want to do mine but I don't have the balls. How far are you from me? I'll have you do it.
