Extending wires for inside the bars... 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Anyone out there have any idea how much length should need to be added to the stock wiring to be able to run the wires inside a set of 16" apes with stock risers.

I've got the bars on order and would like to get the wiring ready for when they get here.

Thanks!

well, i know you can use the stock wiring for 10" apes and some narrow 12" without adding wire so add the 6" may cover depending on how wide they are. but i would probly do 10" over. best way i can think of to tell is get the bars and controls on zip tie the wires to the outside and run them as far as they will go and see how much more you need to get it inside the bucket. but 10" is my geuss.

I believe I added about a foot but it's been awhile. I know I added more than I needed because I have extra coiled up in my headlight bucket. Better to much than not enough.

+1 on that.

If your bike is 2008 or newer, I have a new set of chrome switches that you can have at a deep discount...

About a foot, as mentioned above. Just remember to stagger your splices.
