Cody,
There are 2 types of men: those who do and those who lie about it. Most of us have done stooopppiiddd stuff, as I tell my kids when you have teen agers we'll swap war stories. A quick google search brought up le gal beagle help in traffic. Start here stay within your budget (expand your budget if you have too), learn your lesson and move on. http://www.tickethelp.com/az-arizona/speeding-traffic-ticket/lawyers.html thanks dude

Most of us have made mistakes but bragging about them, yeah...bragging like fireman and others here doesn't do this kid much good.

Hey Cody,
Sorry you got popped bro. I think the lawyer route is great advise and I am glad to see you are going that way. With the right lawyer you may be able to get this knocked down to a non criminal offense. You already know it's going to cost you, but with the right mouthpiece standing with you it will probably save you some money in the long run. At 21, your insurance is probably already high, if the bike is payed off you might be bale to drop some coverage for a little while if your running full coverage to save a few until you can cover it again.
Some of these comments are off the wall and way out of line, glad you let it roll of ya. Sometimes we can be too quick to judge. I have made so many mistakes on a bike in my past that there is no way I could judge you. When I see someone speeding like a madman I have to think that maybe, just maybe, they have a need to get there that quickly. You just never know.
Frank called last week to say you guys were riding on Saturday and I ended up racing that day way out on the East side, did this happen this weekend?

As a kid... 19ish? I was pulled over on a deserted (2 in the morning) highway doing 150 in a 55 (see, I'd just had an Olds Rocket put in my 1980 Pontiac Grand Prix, so I had an excuse... other than just being stupid). Same situation as you (first time offender). Hired a lawyer. Plead guilty. Since I was a first time offender, in CT you can apply for accelerated rehabilitation (AR). Which means, you get off scott free, as long as you're able to go another 6 months with no traffic blemishes. At all. If you do, then the full penalty of the original and second offense applies.
Call a traffic lawyer, ask them about AR. Don't go into court looking like a scrub. Good attire and show respect. I suspect you learned your lesson. I know I did. To this day, never again. Good luck.

It was a nice day to ride. Cody, I think you'll come out of this a little lighter in the pocket, but not too much worse for the wear.

Well I just got of the phone with one of the lawyers. She said. Im looking at a maxium fine of 500 with a 85 percent surcharge, 3 points added to my driver license. No jail or community Service. She said since it was 36 mph over there is no way for me to get a lesser charge. She told me not to waist my money on a attorney that it would just put me farther behind MONEY WISE

Hi Cody Yes get a Lawyer for sure they will help you i Bet 95% of the guys on here have done stupid things and when i was younger i did aswell , Just keep your head up and learn from this , A friend of mine up here in Canada got a speeding ticket in a cage and got it thrown out of court as his lawyer asked the cop when was the last time his Radar gun was calibrated ? as they have to be calibrated often , and if he did it how did he do it ?. WELL the cop told the Judge how he calibrated the gun and he iether did not calibrate it that morning or did it wrong i cant remember this was years ago BUT it was thrown out so maybe your lawyer can look at this im not sure how it works down there. I hope you get OFF with just a FINE and some Community service so you remember this and slow Down GOOD LUCK
