Smoke, having served in the US Navy, I dont see where anyone should have an issue with you supporting our military! And that is just the way anyone and everyone should see it...

I too am a Viet Nam era vet that did not get in country. 71-75. I don't see any issue with any you pick. You are not posing and as others here said, when asked just tell them you support the troops. You can't miss with any you pick. I'm just happy that you do support them. They deserve it. JMO

Hey smoke. Like everyone has said. That isn't disrespectful. Whats disrespectful is someone having something bashing the military. You can dislike our leaders. But US as military members, it is our responsibility to follow orders of our leaders. And we do it to the best of our ability. I have been serving for 22+ years now. And maybe o e of these days i just may retire. Just not anytime soon... lol... but any of those is a great way to show support. And they look great. With out all the support from family, friends and other wonderful people such as yourself. We could not serve so easily or willingly. It makes me proud to hear someone say "thank you for your support." I always say thank you for your support....

I served in the USN 69-73, VAH-123, VAQ-129, and VAQ-132 which flew from the deck of the USS America off the coast of North Vietnam and South Vietnam in support of operation LINEBACKER II in 1972. I am proud of my service having followed my father, brother and uncle into the NAVY. I remember the good times and the bad times and if you want to show support for our troops then GOD BLESS YOU AND THE USA!!!! The only people that gave me a welcome home was my family. It is amazing to me the wide support that our troops are now getting for serving support that I and my fellow Vietnam brothers never got. If this is how you want to thank the troops, GO FOR IT!!!!

I served 21 years in the Navy, I don't see anything wrong with your choices. Do you fly an American Flag in front of your home? Your not a "Military poser" if your doing it in support. If your trying to pretend that you were active duty then let your conscience be your guide.

Don't wear the uniform or patch's and your cool.

Call me right or wronge i dont Care but i think whoever ”pretends” to be a vet should be taken behind the woodshed and dealt with. i would like to have ”ol glory” out in front of the house but i want a true flag pole not the little flag you screw into the side of your house and that not in the cards yet. Im just a simple man that knows a true hero is not in a comic book or on tv. true heros are all around us and i dont think alot of people realize that true heros are all around weather it be police, firemen, doctors, men and wemon in arms, ect. And i would like to thank each and every one of you.
