Oil-like substance on my front pipe. 7 Years, 8 Months ago
Greetings,
I just had a tune up/full service done on my MM and after riding it home, I notice an oil-like substance on the front exhaust pipe, which is right behind the BAK. Is this oil comming out of the BAK, or do I have a probelm that needs to be looked at?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Don

Don,

They most likely oiled the BAK's element. If so, it may drop a little of that oil on the side of your bike for a while.

Don, you might also check that the crankcase breather has not come off of the back of the filter.

Or kinked when from when they had the air cleaner off. It will preasurize the case and force oil out, usually the top end.
