I went to tighten the belt to get rid of that decell chirping and found that the adjuster bolt on the exhaust side wasn't even touching the swingarm No wonder! But I overtightened it and then it wailed like a siren, so I backed it off halfway. Now it's quiet unless I make a hard decel- then a slight noise. After taking off the saddlebags to get to the bolts, I took off the windshieled, lowers and sissybar too. Dang! That's a good looking bike when you take all it's clothes off!

Weekend was REALLY nice, close to 70, so I rolled it out for a good old wash & wax & polish.
Took it for a blast up the road and danged if the right side driving lamp didn't come loose and start shining in my face!
Back to the house and tighter stuff up nice and use some Loc-Tite!
All's good now.

Now that's sad

Yesterday, I used a small fine stainless brush that I had been using on some bike chrome to get rid of stubborn rust spots in corners etc., on some rust spots on the heat shields, of my V&H's.......er.....don't do that.
Today, I used some Mas metal polish, followed up by some Finesse it II(fine polish for boat gelcoat)and alot of elbow grease to undo the mistake.
It doesn't have that brandy new chrome shine, but then again it doesn't look like some idiot used a stainless toothbrush on his heat shields either.
Lesson learned.

Tried to clean all the blue crap off the new white walls. What a PITA! It got too cold to finish so I came back in. What are you guys using? I tried some all purpose cleaner (greased lightening), hot water with some dishwashing soap, some softscrub bleach cleaner mixed with hot water in a squirt bottle, and it is starting to fade a little but damn it has never been this hard before!!!! Any idea's?

When I had the WWW I squirted Simple Green on them, scrubbed with a wet long handled scrub brush then rinsed. It worked great!
