So this seems to be the best roadstar forum around so I thought I'd introduce myself.

Traded in my Raider at the end of last season and have sold off a few project bikes recently (xs650, 67 xlch)and am looking forward to buying a bike outright for the first time in a long time.

I loved my raider and with all the research I've done the roadstar seems to be what i want. I'm certain that the 140 lbs lighter, average rear tire, and 5 inch shorter wheelbase on the roadstar will handle better and make up for the 200cc difference. It was tough to mod the raider... just performance mods. I felt guilty cutting or painting a bike that expensive.

I'm hoping to get a post 04 roadstar in the near future, i'll be lurking till then.

from MI the road star is a great bike and very very customizable. im pretty sure it is king in the metric world as far as add on goodies

from Wi. To me going from a Raider to an 04 is a step down but that's me. The 04's were a transition year (electrics comes immediately to mind). All are good bikes and customizeable to the max. More info coming via other members.
