It runs a lot smoother but I think I lost some torque. It sounds better at the higher speeds (75-80) than it did. We will see though.

Changed the oil and filter. Went to synthetic oil with Mobil 1. Top end sounds a bit quiter. The dealer overfilled it at the last oil change. Cranks over easier with the right amount of oil.

Cleaned the K&N air filter. Wow! What a difference. I don't think the dealer I took it to for the 32,000 mile check 4000 miles ago bothered to even look at the air filter.

With it breathing easier the idle was a little low, had to adjust it up a bit. Took it out for a little spin after. Throttle is more responsive, I'm doubly glad for the riders backrest!

Took it out of town on a four lane highway. Little to no traffic and a long straight stretch comming out of a 45 MPH zone into a 65 MPH zone. I just rolled on the throttle and watched the speedometer climb. Don't think I ever topped out 4th gear but I did shift before I hit triple digits. It runs like a different bike!

Wont you watch over me while Im riding today
Send me down an angel to keep me steady on my way
Cause you know that Im not perfect
Im in need of some salvation
In the meantime let me ride in peace
Through this beautiful creation

Removed my upper belt guard. She rides so quiet now that I'm ashamed to have let it go on as long as I did.

Installed the E3.36 plugs today. Did seem more responsive, and if they do get me a couple extra mpg's, I'll be even happier.

Made some uppers out of polycarbonate and attached to my windshield. I am very happy with them as they keep the wind/elements off my hands/arms. Thinking about making my own lowers...

Also checked my front drive pulley nut and was pleased to see that someone installed a washer that locked the bolt in place so I can now be worry free about that. I also found that it was my belt cover making all that noise over bumps so I am going to find a cure for that...
