John, if you have to drive to a hotel, you might as well stay at my house and you wont be outside on the ground. I've got plenty of room oh and did I mention its free.

I think we should meet up at my mother in laws place. She owns a place in Lake Luzerne called Whispering Pines Cottages. It's close to Lake George, Saratoga Springs and the Saratoga Battle field. Every one should go there. A really good ride is the toll road to the top of Whiteface MT. The ride along Lake George on 9N is one of the best. At the north end of Lake George is Fort Ticonderoga and the south end is Fort William Henery. That's a lot of history and well worth seeing.

Whispering Pines is very RUSTIC. The cottages were built many years ago in the Adirondack style. If you like that than this place is for you. They have been updated through the years. I've painted many of them myself. I hate to paint. There is a nice sandy beach and the water is great.

I'm not sure if the inlaws have a web site but I'm sure you can look it up on the web, or you can call 518-654-2123.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks Lucky, I still want to get an Adirondak run going for this summer. We should start another thread for it so as not to get crossed up with the Maine trip

Whiteface Mountain is a great ride if it's clear. Here's my view from September, 2010
