Yes. Its a common problem, and an easy fix.

Stupid question for the day...What is it, what's the problem and how do you fix it? A link to other posts is fine also. Thanks

That's the coasting enricher cover. I just replaced mine last week also. Apparently it cracking is very common. If it is cracked it doesn't get the proper vaccum seal. Learned this from another memeber

Now what issues it causes being cracked...I'm not sure.

Coasting enricher.
It adds a bit of fuel when the throttle is closed, and your rolling to a stop in gear. Keeps the lean popping down.

Thanks for all of the replies, I switched pipes over the winter, went from Cobra Drags (they were pitted and it just bothered me..lol) to Cobra Slip-ons (used but very clean)and a friend pointed out a little bit of blueing from a too lean condition. I was also getting a lot of back-fire on decel so I am trying to dial it in. Had the PMS out 3 3/4 and still got some popping so I dropped the needle to 5 and saw this cracking on the enricher and remember seeing something about this in the Tech Section (Carb). For now I put a coat of silicone on it. You wouldn't happen to have a part# would you?
