Eleanor's performance was terrible. she had a terrible lag in throttle response & felt like she was hitting the rev
limiter wayyyyy to early. i cleaned the air filter & poured some seafoam in the tank. took her for a 30 minute smooth cruise to allow the seafoam to do its thing.
within about 15 minutes the throttle response improved. 30 minutes, it was nearly instant. after 30 mins on a unpopulated back road i came to a complete stop. i took off, peeled her back & let the nats have her. wot
in 1st , 2nd & 3rd. she was doing 58 mph when she hit the rev limiter in 2nd & 81 mph in 3rd when the rev limiter engaged. i lifted out of the throttle when i hit 4th.the combination of cleaning the air filter & seafoam is like having a new bike in regards to peformance. the mid range torque & power is crazy! i read lot of post about seafoam. but, i was skeptical. sure wish i has used it & cleaned or replaced the air filter alot sooner.
