Snowbeast - Sorry about the slow reply on the PM you sent me. I tried giving some detail about the install in my reply. For everyone else that's interested in the progressive 465 shock.....I love mine. It in combination with the progressive front springs has to be my favorite upgrade to the roadstar so far. Handling has improved significantly. Only tricky parts to the install were getting to the rear bolt that goes through the swingarm and relay arm, and finding room to remove the stock shock. I had to use a socket adapter with a hinge to get to the rear bolt. At first I didn't have enough room to remove the stock shock assembly because my jack was in the way. To solve that problem I placed a few 4x4s along side the jack and lowered the bike onto the 4x4s so I could slide my jack out and drop the shock assembly. I hope those pointers save you some time.

I replaced the spring on my stock shock the other year. Put a 1000lb.er on it and it is great. Just wondering, does the Progressive come with a spring and if so what is the rating? Or do you use your previous spring

Well got the stock shock out,and the new one in,but need an extra pair of hands to align the bolt thru the rear end of shock. Now you guys who have already installed yours,at what distance of threads did you preload your spring,i set mine up in my vise at 1.040 thou and will set sag later if i need to,as we ride two up 99% of the time, and now for the rebound question, what side did you set up your adjuster on,mine is on the r.h. side sitting on the bike,it may be a little hard to get the allen wrench in there for adjustments though,as it is quite tight, overall not to bad,as long as i get an extra hand tomorrow lol,and i get to try it out.
