Whats a good pillion seat to buy? 4 Years, 7 Months ago

I need to get a comfy seat for the wife as she is continually complaining how hard the stock seat is.
Can any of you guys recomend a passenger saddle?
I have no problems with the riders saddle, can sit my but on it all day and no worries at all.
Just need to get the passenger seat, and will they sell it seperately?
Thanks in advance.

Colonel , Don't know if you can get a passenger section of the seat w/out buying the drivers portion too. Lots of guys have upgraded their seats, to keep momma happy. You could try having a gel pad added to the passenger seat , and see if that would make her more comfy. Several companies offer that service (adding the gel under the cover), or you could order a gel insert, and take it to a local upholstery shop. Others should chime in, as they wake up , so perhaps a suggestion or two will work for you. BB

Colonel - If you are happy with your stock seat, then I would recommend getting a ROHO Airhawk or a sheepskin butt pad for your wife. My friend has the Airhawk and loves it! My wife and I have used the sheepskin butt pad (w/o the gel) in the past and it added approx. 20-30 minutes to the time we can stay in the saddle.

Colonel
Take a look at the ultimate seats, they say you can install just the passenger or just the driver sear with the other in place and they sell them separately. I have been thinking of the same approach with the same complaints coming from the back of the bike. Let us know what you end up doing, the ultimate sure scores high with others on the clinic.

I agree with 2sheds. I bought the passenger seat with the driver back rest. My lady really likes it. Before she could only ride about 100 miles and was ready to get off the bike. Now with the ultimate she has ridden over 300 in a day and no problems. I will eventually get the drivers seat but I have no problem with the stocker so it could be awhile.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
I will check out the links.
Have looked at the Air pad options before but remain uncertain, and they are NOT cheap.
