If you find out that you need a speedometer, keep me in mind. I have a speedo from a 2005 & up that has low miles and works fine. The only thing you would need to do is swap a couple of wires in the connector to be in the correct location for a 2001. I tried it out on my 2003 and it worked. Good Luck.
