Re:Yamaha Raider 4 Years, 7 Months ago
I am seriously considering a Stratoliner this winter to go along with my Roadie. I went to the dealership to pick up something for the Roadie and saw the RaiderS. Definitely caught my eye, I sat on it and it feels great. First thing I'd do is extend the FC's a little (I'm 6'3&quot. I'll probably ride both. There is a new 06 Stratoliner Midnight that they are offering to me for $12,700, but I am seriously considering the RaiderS. I know I am in the monority, and that's ok with me, but I like the exhaust.

It's a nice addition to the star line up but I like a wider front tire. Got to be a great bike though.

I just put a deposite for it, I'll pick it up in March. Love at the 1st site. This is my 1st bike, so it should be fun when I kill myself.
I am 51 and in a midlife crises.
I thank you all of you that test ride with my baby. I haven't decided on the color yet. Blue is my favorites but red is nice too.

Just sat on one at a local dealer here, And I must agree, it's a much cooler bike than pictures give it credit for. I like the heck out of it, though it's not really my style bike. Needs a taller rear tire though, that looks kinda goofy. BB

First:

Think seriously about taking a motorcycle safety course. Even guys who have ridden half their lives and taken abreak for a few years can benefit from them.

Have a blast!!

Ain't it the truth... Be very careful,,spend some time in a deserted parking lot..and get the feel..if it's anything like my roadie, it's liable to scare the crap out of you for a while...

The Jan Motorcycle Cruiser mag has a short article re: 200 mile test ride on the Raider. They didn't have much in the way of negatives: about all they came up with is the seat and limited flexibility in riding position. Also, some pretty nice photos of a blue one. Ride safely, Novice. The first few times out, the cages seem really big, trucks even bigger.
