I'd believe it. Most engines don't die, they get murdered. Proper maintenance on a well designed engine and 300K isn't out of the park. Lots of engines can go 300K if they are taken care of (Ford 300, Chevy 350, Jeep 4.0 all come to mind).

No, had the tranny recall done at 47k, guess that makes 98k on these rings. Still stock belt, stock clutch friction plates with over 80k of being a double-up spring plate, steering head bearings replace at approx 96k, front rotors replaced at approx 110k. Have never looked at valves, so never been adjusted either, and no, a valve adjustment is not part of tranny recall either.
