Ordered my Reckless 3 Years, 2 Months ago
Ordered a Reckless fairing on Friday. No stereo. Have my eyes on this stereo---
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-T5bGYQmpR2Q/p_113KMR700U/Kenwood-KMR-700U.html

However it's a 2 piece system. Won't know if it will fit till I get the fairing. Looking forward to getting it painted like the bags and getting this on my bike. Been wanting one for a while.
Thanks to Bogeydoctor for the pics and info.
Any other recommendations for a stereo??

That's a nice stereo, a little pricey though. Congrats on the Fairing. Hopefully I will be able to get one soon.

Before you get the radio, take a look at the face. It's not a DIN where it fits "in" the opening. It has an over sized face. Happened with the one I got for my HD fairing, Jensen MSR7007, had to do modding, had to change my Aerobach risers since the way the fairing was mounted and the radio sticks out an inch, it hit the risers, went with Barons DT risers since they are only pull-back and no rise. Fortunately the way that this mounts, I can use CD player without skips.

Looks like a very cool setup. I went to the Reckless site to look at mounting details but couldn't find any. Whats involved in putting the bat on the bike? Does it mount to the windshield brackets?

The stereo can be found for about $90 less if you look around a bit. That site has all the dimensions though. I have DT Pullbacks so I figure I'm ok there. The plan is it mounts right on to the stock windshield mounts. If your looking for one go to Ebay. They have another one on there that's open bid. I got this for $305 + $50 shipping! That's $45 off their site price which covered shipping. I went to many a site to research the product and read nothing but good reviews, mostly from forums like this but for all types of bikes.

Been looking at the reckless fairings also but wish they would price them on ebay like they are all of their other fairings! If you look the road star fairing is listed at least $100 to $150 more than those for harleys, hondas, etc.

I have just finished installing the Reckless fairing on my Roadstar. The mounting Bracket has several holes, took me awhile to figure out the proper holes, because I have four and half inch riser, pull backs on my bike here are some pics.
