Bassani Duals with HD Slip-ons 1 Year ago
I just order a set of Bassani True Dual headers. For the time being the budget forces me to use used HD touring exhausts (cheap on ebay ) Anyone have suggestions on which ones work best (ie 96-03 roadking) Also an issues or hints would be great. On a related note I will have a set of Cobra longs for sale once my pipes come in decent shape but a little scuffed on the tips since they hang low, VERY loud.

Congrats on the bassanis. As far as mufflers go I'd say which ever ones you like as they are all 1 3/4 inch head pipes you will have to make a set of support brackets for them though.

Maybe a set off a touring model would be best

On ebay just search for "touring". There are usually a lot of 'pull-offs'. I paid $25 each for 2 sets.

They'll bolt right up to the Bassani's. For support you can either modifity the Bassani mounting brackets. I have mine supported from the bag mounts.

On a side note, alot of the slip-on on ebay don't say the size of the baffle and their are at least 4 sizes i've seen (1.5, 1.75, 2.00 and 2.25) Does anyone know which model and/or years used 1.75?

Oh and how are "rush" brand exhausts?

How do these do with those with the bad dad (or equivalent) rear fender/extended bags? Will we still have to make extensions?
