any of the twin cam 88/96/103/110/120r motors are fine, anything before the tc motors are alot more problematic.
i paid 8200 for a 04 king with hardbags/windhield/ 38k miles.

I test road a '12 road glide a few months back with the 103ci and holy chit dude! Have had a hard on for one of those ever since... I was about to pull the trigger then found out my girl was pregnant so just put a couple grand in my roadie instead.
That 103 is a monster. And I'm in love with that rg fairing

ya my sg is a 103 with cams and the rk is a stock 88, talk about a difference, the rk is a turd lol

My dad has a 06 softail with a little 88 in it and a 05 ultra classic cvo with the 103. It almost seems like even with the screamin eagle 103 he and I are usually neck and neck. We've pushed them to 110 and were side my side the whole time. I swear the RG i rode that wasnt a screamin eagle had WWWAAAYYY more torque than either. but his ultra is super nice, rides smooth as can be, has abs, security, self canceling turn sigs, auto volume, and every other bell whistle and button you could get in 05. but paid a premium for it too lol

I think one thing Harley doesn't do so well is the look. I have to say, I see so many nice custom bikes here. The lines on the R* and the mods you have all done are fantstic!
The TC88 is aweful. My boss has a 2004 RK, but has built his engine to I THINK 124". The pistions are about the same size as a 460 big block! He said he puts down at the wheel at least 120 ft/lb. They suck but lots of potential if you sink the money into it. Before you all get huffy and puffy, he used to drag race his bike.
