I dunno, it only seems the young ones (riding any brand) are the snobs. I haven't met any riders my age (old) that seem to give a rats rear what brand you ride.
BTW: Just got a text from a good friend (life long HD rider) in Key West. Did 1400 miles in 34 hrs. Really nice guy, but he is nuts! This is the same guy who rode his Street Glide to the Arctic Circle. Was headed to Prudhoe Bay, but the gas station was closed. |

I ride to work almost everday park next to 2 HDs and a XR Honda,we all talk bikes,I ride with my bro-in law who has a HD lowrider its nice but Roadie gets more comments when they are parked together  just depends on who they are a few HD riders with shitty attitude gives them all a bad name don't let them bother you enjoy your Roadstar  |

I just got my R*, two weeks ago, didn't get to spend much time with it due to the fact that I put it right into the shop to get the trans recall work done. But I am very happy with the ride so far. I have owned 3 other bikes. All harleys. I grew up with harleys, never owned anything else until now. I used to think like all the other Harley guys, that if it ain't a Harley it isn't worth riding. Lol . But then I did my home work. As far I as can tell, the R* is a Harley, with diff emblems. Don't get me wrong, I still love harleys just as much, even have the logo tattooed on me. But comparing apples to apples, I can't tell much difference between the two brands, except for the mystique of the Harley name, and the outrageous price tags.

At my work I park with a Suzuki C90, Honda VTX 1800, HD Fat Bob, HD Street Glide and a couple other bikes that show up occasionally. None of us have ever commented on brand but we do comment on bikes. Got a brother in law that rides an Ultra Classic. He and I ride with a Gold Wing and a couple sport bikes and one guy that comes along occasionally with an old HD hard tail. Not sure of model and he used to be hardcore but we all ride for the ride and nothing more.

I absolutely LOVE my R/S!!! My wife wonders which I love more, the bike or my four year old Boxer. I was talking to a knuckle head the other day and he just couldn’t understand why I would only own a Yamaha and not a Harley. In my opinion the big three Yamaha bikes (R/S, Liner and Raider) are by far the best you can get and the prices are great. All of my family and friends ride Harleys and really like my Roadie. I just get aggravated when people I don’t even know ACTUALLY think they are riding a superior machine.

I have 1%er friends, never said a bad word about
my R*, some actually ask to putt around the block.
Brother rides a Road King, my R* get all the attention.

that's what gets me also. My R* is my second bike, I started on a Suzuki C50....when someone comments on my "Jap" bike, I just laugh and ride away
