Matter of fact, I like them alot and plan on putting an Electa Glide in my stable some day. What gets under my skin are the jackasses that ride them 10 miles, round trip, to thier favorite watering hole dressed head to to in their orange and black uniform and brag about what badass, hard core bikers they are and how much other brands suck. This isnt really HD's fault, its the image that their customers have created over time. There are far more nice HD riders, but the few jackasses out there seem to make a more memorable impact. In short....I like the bikes but hate the posers. Same period, I owned three R*'s. I sold two R*'s, and three HD's. Don't hate HD's or the folks who ride them. My thinking is, the R* is the better of the two for the price, IMHO. But I also don't think they make a NICER BIKE especially for the price of a HD !!
