Ok guys & gals, here it is:

Maquoketa Inn & Suites
1019 West Platt
Maquoketa, IA 52060
Phone: 563-652-6888

Room rate is $62.10 + tax per night which puts it just under $70.

I was able to secure 25 rooms for us. I have reserved my room already. All you have to do is call and tell them you're with the Road Star Clinic group with John Byrd. They have both smoking and non smoking rooms, but a very limited number of smoking rooms. If you want one I would suggest you act soon.

There is no pool, but IMHO that should limit the number of children we have to contend with......it's an adult weekend, eh?

I asked about Warden's trailer (and a BBQ Saturday night) to which the manager replied, "Cool! That sounds like fun....no problem."

I also told him we may need more than 25 rooms. He said if he has them it would be no problem getting them at the reduced rate.

The 25 room block will expire June 11.....gives everybody plenty of time, but I would suggest getting registered as soon as you can.

It's getting closer!!!!!! Can't wait to see everybody!!!

There is no bar in the hotel, and as far as I can tell there are only 2 bars in Maquoketa.....small town Iowa - only about 6000 people. There is a Fareway Grocery store within walking distance.
I'm going back to Maquoketa in a couple of weeks to do some more "checking" on important stuff like that, Tom. I'll keep all posted.

If ya want a smoking room you better hurry up and book.....they have a very limited number of them thanks to our non smoking republican governor.

I just read an article in the ride hard magazine about Savanna.IL.What a great area for the m&g.I may ride/drive through Missouri and take the Illinois route home. you can read it on line @ ridehard-magazine.com

That's the way we're planning on heading home as well....."Poopies" is a cool little biker bar/grill, and they sell motorcycle stuff. It will be fun all weekend looks like.
