hello from the sunshine state 12 Months ago
Hi all, I'm a 50 year old kid, just picked up an '03 RoadStar 1600. Over the years have ridden all kinds of bikes, just have not ridden much for several years. Anyway, got the bike Sunday and since don't have endorsement have to go to class lol. I had looked at a lot of bikes over the last few months, made offers on sport tourers (FJR1300) and a few others. Wasn't really looking for what I got, but after having seen and ridden the bike can't wait to get legal. Bike has been lowered Approx 1 or 2 inches, makes it feel tiny LOL but when rolling through the sub notice heads turn.

Looking to get some road time in on this monster before saddling the woman up for jaunts cruises and trips. Bike has Hypercharger, Vance and Hines pipes and some nice brand new leather bags and windscreen. I'm diggin it and sure glad I found it. It's an awesome bike.

And yes...'03's are the best! Fresh oil/filter every 5000 mi and you wont be sitting on a jack 50% of the time asking "whats wrong". They will be 10 yrs old next year and still runs like a clock and never been torn diwn ir taken to the shop for repairs once the tranny recall was done. Make sure the recall was done on your bike. If not ..your licky and can have some new piston rings etc...done while theyre at it for only the cost of the parts. Congrats!

53,000 miles and never missed a beat!
