Wanted to give Curt a pat on the back for his outstanding advice on my carb issue with getting it jetted properly. I went from the 175 to the 172.5 w/ needle from 4th to 3rd clip. Took my AIS off and also put in an Barons PMS screw. Changed my fuel economy from 30-32 to 48 mpg and it'll throw you off the back. Had this bike 4 years now and it came jetted wrong. I thought 32 mpg was par for the course with R*.  |

Glad it worked for you with the elevation your at it is the way I jetted mine before I went to the 45 HSR. Did you remember to put the second silver washer on the needle so there are two? If not you may be just a tad lean.  |

Yup I have both silver washers on there. I didn't change the pilot because the kit I bought didn't come with one. I may play with the PMS a little more just to see what i can get. But 48 mpg on a 130 mile trip w/ about 15 of those miles being stop and go city traffic, I am pretty dang happy. I'm in love with my bike again!  |
