Yes, PMS I think that's what this is called. It's a plastic screw head on the end of a cable that comes down from under the top of the engine (carb) and a service writer at our late stealership referred to it as the idle adjustment.

The "stealership" was right, the idle adjustment is a black plastic knob, that is in a bracket below the factory air box, where the two cylinders meet. The PMS, is located up behind the carb bowl. You need a screwdriver to adjust the stock one. An after market PMS like Baron's, will be longer and have a knurled end so it can be tuned with the fingers.

Here is a pic showing where the PMS screw is located. Its in the lower left diagram. They call it a Pilot mixture screw(cover).

Must be aftermarket cause it is like a attached cable with a round dial type end. has a slot so I thought you used a screw driver..but after thought , yes, finger tighten or loosen.

So you have two cable type adjusters in the same area?

The factory idle adjuster, has a slot, and I think an allen head in the face, but you can work it with your fingers. It snaps into the bracket, and the cable goes up to the carb. The Barons PMS, is simply a brass screw with a knurled end that is about 1 1/2 inches long. I have to take my stock air box off to adjust it, but I don't need a screw driver and a mirror to see behind the carb bowl. More then likely, all you have is the stock PMS screw.

Also sounds to me like a re jetting was done to install the hyper charger. Kuryakyn site says new jets come with installation kit for the pro series. I guess my original question was based on the possiblity that adequate jetting may already be done on this bike and I don't want to do something (spend $$) if it's already done and I don't know how to check it out.

Yes, there shoulda woulda been jetting done with the Hypercharger from Kury.
Grams comments regarding the aftermarket PMS, where more then likely directed at helping you fine tune the carb with the new pipes. You may be able to back the PMS(not the idle adjuster) out 1/4 to a 1/2 turn, and help it, if it needs it. That would add some fuel in the pilot circuit for the slow speed and midrange up to 1/4 throttle.
If the PO followed the directions, the bike may actually be rich enough already. The directions for rejetting are usually richer then needed.

Get the new pipes on, and see what happens. You may not have to do anything, then again if there are issues, it'll be easier to figure out what to do, based on what the bike is doing after the pipes are installed.
