Sorry to hear about your leg. I know the feeling about the cast. We hit a goose last week and put the bike down. broken right wrist and hand in 4 places. Mama beat up a bit but not to bad, could have been alot worse. Thank God for good leathers! Take care and heal fast, then lets ride!!

Sorry to hear about that Fireman. If it helps I'll hoist a few beers to your speedy recovery.

Thanks for the warning, maybe it'll help me remember that I'm not invincibile.

I worked for a self insured company awhile back. One of the biggest threats they preached about in the health and safety dept., was the improper use of ladders. Be it setting a ladder on a slick surface, improper lean ratio, over reaching, using to short of a ladder, or people leaning step ladders against a wall, instead of opening them.

Having said that, I busted my left heel bone into about 5 pieces 6 years ago, when I slide off a roof, because I didn't put the toe board back on. You may be in the "great examples of the wrong things to do" line, but your not alone

The worst part, is the inactivity That, and everybody will start asking you for weather reports.

On the bright side, you should have plenty of time to hone your posting skills. Blondes, brunettes, girls with three, maybe even the real Morgan Fairchild instead of what's his name .

Stay off of it, it'll heal faster.

Sorry to hear.

I snapped my achilles and had surgery in Jan. Had some complications so the time was extended. The inactivity is the killer but is essential to healing!

For a few weeks I rented a hands-free crutch and it was a real emotional boost to be able to move around without the two crutches. Check out Goodbye Crutches. They also have rollers.

I finished physical therapy and rode for the first time last week. Could have rode sooner but I started my winter mods in March due to the injury and just got the bike back together. The ride was fantastic.
