New Blinkers 12 Months ago
I finally did something about those front turn signals that I have always disliked. Just bought a couple of LED strips stuck em up there wired them in, and cut off the original signals. I need to trim the mount that held up the old signals but I want to make sure these are going to work for me before I get to carried away and can't go back. I'm pretty happy they are bright red LED's that can be seen from many angles. Also it only took about 2 hours and cost almost a whole $4.00.

I don't know if reds ok, I just figured it would stand out. But now you got me thinking maybe not such a good idea to go red.

+1 on illegal, at least in FL. Lighting is pretty standard though.
Front amber only (turn signals and marker lights), other than white headlights, and white or yellow auxillary driving lights.
Rear red only (brake lights and marker lights), except turn signals maybe amber, and white light to illuminate the license plate, white or amber for reverse lights.

Each state has different laws in that regard, but most are pretty standard.

However, since bencadenbach is in Nebraska and the Cornhuskers are red, the local law might let him slide. In fact, if I was ever stopped there with the red LEDs, I'd say it's to support the Huskers!

Would that fly?

Blue too on front is illegal. Anything that could be considered an emergency light color is no good up front.

I like the Huskers excuse and that just might work around here. But I did go ahead and order some some amber lights not sure why I didn't do that in the first place. Project is starting to get expensive now I'm in it for almost $8. Thanks guys for help en me keep the fuzz off my back.
