Studs are fine if that's your thing. My Road King has them but they are Black with Chrome rings around them. Ride your bike the way you want it. Oh, and for the record, I don't do Black T-shirts.

I think its mostly an "age" thing....I like studs, thier old school to me. I remember when I was a kid, we couldnt wait til we were older and could get a bike with studs n floorboards! Back when a 1200cc was a monster! 750s were the average size. Now, you young ens' dont want floorboards...u want them 'forward controls, no chrome, etc. your time will come too... when the next generation will snicker about that. As for me bring on the studs n conchos!
Oh yea....and fringe off my grips!

I put what I like on my bike because I'm the one who rides it. I've never had anyone rib me or criticize anything on my bike, but unless they could show me that it is unsafe or illegal, I'd probably ignore it and enjoy what I like on my bike.
I have studs on my saddlebags with snakeskin flame inserts.

Studs on seats, saddle bags and tank bra, floor board and lever fringe, wwww tires, 12" apes on 4" risers, w/Dragger seat. Oh yeah ... that's my ride. Don't like it? Not to worry ... you were never going to ride it anyway!
edit: The only thing my 'Harleyer Than Thou' riding buddy ever criticized on my ride (besides not being a HD) was the rust on the back of my chromed lowers ... until I informed him that they were an HD part.

You know, those things on the levers are "tassles". They are too long to be considered a "fringe"
