Thought about something like that for going on camping trips and then the ol' lady said"we needed to get a trailer!" I asked her for what?and she said"so I can bring my clothes, shoes, jewelery, hairdryer, blankets, and all of my medicines."
I told her "we weren't taking a cruse on a ship but were going on a bike trip."
She said she needed all of that stuff to go,and I told her to start looking for a Lincoin! and someone to drive it 'cause I was going by bike!with out a trailer!
THINGS TO PACK!!
1.Beer
2.tent(maybe)
3.Beer
4.spare clothes(maybe)
5.BEER!
6.ol'lady(maybeeee?)
7.More Beer!
8.Did I SAY BEER?
9.CROWN ROYAL(YES!YES!YES!)

If you can't get by with those 10 things, #6 is probably the reason. I've always used less than what I took. That shows me that I over pack. There is always a WalMart close if you run out of something anyway. I've seen people with crazy ammounts of crap tied on thier bike like a rolling freakshow. I have the Kury Ultra Tour bag. Lightwieght, expandable side pockets, and plenty of room for 2 people to last 3-4 days, and comes with a rain fly. It has d rings on top if you need to add another bag-o-crap. Been happy so far. Guess it depends on what style you like.

I can pack everything I have to have for a week in one saddlebag. When the wife travels with me we have to SQUEEZE all her garbage into a T bag(with roll)and drag it along.I swear, the woman never leaves home---she takes it wih her !

thanks for the advise guys. yea, i realize that i dont need the huge bag and i probly could do with the 1800 size bag and my saddlebags but i would rather not even use my saddlebags on a road trip cause i can quick release the tail bag and carry 100% of my stuff right into the hotel room in 30 seconds. that and i can get almost 2 times the size in bag for $12 more

I had a set of bags similar to those you listed, for storage they fit inside one another. I don't remember what I did with them (I think I let them go with a bike I sold), but they did a good job before I got the Harley Tour Pack. I still use a Buffalo hide pack in front of the Harley Tour Pak. I lean back against the Buffalo hide pack. Makes for a comfort and I don't go grubby.

My wife says if she catches a biker bitch on there she'll shoot first and ask questions later. It ain't softer than a set of boobs, but hey, any port in a storm.

First trip on Roadie. Heading to Laconia, looking like the Beverly Hillbillys. Maybe actually used 30% of all the crap I brought.
