Re:WNC Meet and Greet 1 Year ago
Hey there folks. I am still not clear if the dates have been decided on for sure yet. I have lurking around this site on an off for a few years, but, just haven't posted hardly at all. (my bike has simply run great for the last 80k miles so I haven't fixed it. I would like to consider coming to meet some of the good people here and maybe learn a few things regarding caring for my bike. I considered selling my 99 last year but the guy was all talk. There isn't a thing wrong with it that I can tell. Now I am considering it again, but, only to upgrade to a newer Roadie 05 with only 8k on it. My Beau has two sport touring bikes and I have considered that too. I would be interesting to meet a bunch of you and see what you all have to say about my bike. Watching for the dates. Not fond of being cold at all so I was wishing for earlier in the season, but, hey you can't please everyone.

Staying tuned,
Patricia

Patricia,
Looks like 5-7 Oct as the Meet and Greet Dates, with the week leading up to the weekend planned with various rides to sites.

Hmmm 408 miles, that's very doable in a day. But October has traditionally been our vacation time, and I'm not sure I can swing 2 weeks off in the same month, both work-wise and financially.

I'm going to do whatever I can to make this happen though. Would love the opportunity to get to know some of you better and to ride those roads again! It's going to be some work convincing my better half to go, unfortunately. She's never been on a REAL ride on some REAL roads and doesn't quite get what all the fuss is about.

To those planning on attending, are you going solo or bringing the Mrs.?

I am hoping the Mrs will come along. If she does I might have to trailer up she don't do chilly weather well at all.

I hope I can talk my wife into it but she is more worried about the hills, the tallest hill we have here is about 10 feet.

Ok guys... we need some input... are dates of October 5-7 good? With the week leading up to that for the early birds that want more ride time available?
