transmission issues 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago  
i have a 07 midnight star with never a problem in the 47,000 plus miles and just noticed yesterday that as i laid off the throttle in 4th and 5th gear i hear a whine in the transmission area.....what is the 1st thing to ck on the bike?

Might be a stupid question but have you checked your gear oil

umm that could be also had the rear tire installed a few weeks ago i'm check that also
