Well I need all the help I can get. Lol

Sorry this thread got so off track. I'll put up another post about the vibration and stick to fairing solutions here. Although its frustrating, because I bet if I fixed the real issue then I wouldn't have any fairing problems either.

Well, for those who might be in the least bit interested:

The rubber washers between the tree and the windshield bracket really didn't do that much that I can tell, probably because the bolt still directly bolts into the tree and transmits vibration directly.

The rubber washers between the shield mount and the lowers, slightly more success and reduced vibration. Also the increased silicone, extra radio rear strap bolt, and foam block beneath the radio seems to be holding up. I can now listen to the radio again at 75 mph, so something clearly worked.

Overall though there is still too much vibration for my comfort in the whole setup, so I have a feeling I'll be chasing down loosened screws every month or so until I fix the vibration problem at the source. Small squeaks, vibrations, and rattles drive me up a wall, and I seem to have purchased a set up that is nothing but. Should have gone HD fairing? Time will tell.

Well that was this morning. Tonight the radio was back to cutting on and off on the highway. POS isn't any good to me if I can't listen to tunes on the highway, because that's the only time I really want them. Have to figure out where this vibration is coming from or this will be the most expensive experiment ever.

I asked the guy at reckless if I should put some kind of rubber grommet between the mount and the fairing, he said no.
I have no vibration to speak of.
But I heard of problems with detatchable faceplates on motorcycles.
I bought one with a fixed faceplate... no problems at all

I mounted the Shark amp inside with a board and angle irons, NP so far.

Here is a pic of the mounted fairing.
