Thanks guys! Yes mine bottoms out alot!! Or used to. I should take some pics of the mottom of the frame and post them!! I have some pics of the shock conversion but mid swap my phone battery died so no finals. I also meant to measure ride hight pre and post but my ole excited self went out to the garage and started taking the bike apart to make the swap work! Worst part was fitting the motor/pump for the hydraulics. You'll need to massage the stock harness a bit to fit it under the side cover (left). I also cut up the plastic tray to make a smooth surfce. I'll get some shots of that once completed. I still need to build the harness to a dash switch to raise and lower the preload. I just set it full on and took a test ride and man it was nice.

I wanted to find a firmer spring and figured the GL was a much larger bike. The shock is longer due to the long mounting ears but I drilled a new hole about half inch up and cut off the excess. Had to press the sleeve out of the GL upper to install the long Yamer sleeve. Fit like OJ's glove. Other than that an easy install.

Will figure out the picture posting for this forum in the morning and get some pics up of this ride. I also have a custom VT1100 Shadow, two 76 CB750s and a 73.

Sweet Gonzo! Maybe you could start a new thread for the GL1800 swap when you get the picts worked out? I'm sure there are a lot of others here who'd like to see/hear about it.

I wouldn't mind seeing pics of your other bikes. I know this is a R* forum but maybe you could post a link to them.
