From NC. If you bike was bottoming out that easy are you sure it was not lowered? A stock R* shouln't have bottomed out that easy.

From what I could tell it was a stock shock but I am not up on my Star line.....yet.

Here is a shot of it after the Roadwing shock install. This is with teh hydraulic preload cranked full on and the bike unloaded (nothing in the bags and no rider).

Did you change the Goldwing upper mount? It looks so small in the pic. I have bought the same.

No I only removed the sleeve inside the upper mount and replaced it with the Roadwing sleeve to retain the stock bolt. Its solid enough for the Goldwing so keep that in mind....

I backed the pump off about half way this morning and rode into work. could notice the difference as soon as I sat on the bike and she settled just a bit. Not riding across a washboard anymore but nice to know the extra pre-load is available if my wife were ever to blow up! lol

It was a toss up as to which bike to take because I just put Cycle-X's ignition system on my 76 CB750 last night and OMG!!! It provides like 90 points of reference per revolution instead of just the one per cycle and the ignition can react quicker to throttle inputs!! Plus it sparks 3x's per combustion stroke..... I had the old 3-Ohm coils from the Dyna ign on it previously and while an improvement over stock, it was nothing compared to this Cycle-X system!! So the Dyna will go on the next build (73 CB750) until I can swing another $350 for a Cycle -X for it! Can't wait to ride it to work tomorrow!!

But I needed to try the different suspension setting on Roadie today....
