Heard about it but never seen it. Same as the GW engine. Both very smooth, you couldn't feel my old 1100 at idle, even with 158K on it was still a power house. I'm still getting used this v twin vibration thing.

Went to a bike show back when Valks were a fairly new thing. Rifle or one of the other pipe manufacturers had a Valk with 6 into 6 open pipes on display. Lord, that thing sounded like a Formula 1 car. It made the hair on your arms stand up.

Ain't that the truth. I like Beemers, they've got some nice bikes and there are a lot of cool people who ride them, but man if there aren't a bunch who seem to have a 2x4 up their nether-regions. If you see one with day-glow riding gear, you can almost guarantee they wont wave back. What's up with that?

I bought my Goldwing back in 2003 at Pro Cycle up in Columbia, MO. I went to the dealer to pick it up and they had just finished up putting a set of pipes like you describe, pretty sure they were V&H on a Valkyrie that the guy picked up while I was there. I was in the building when he left the parking lot and I swear he rattled the windows in the showroom. All the guys in there were grinning and I bet you could hear it for a mile up the road. Really different smooth sound like pure power.

Valks are ok, mainly cuz the power plant , and that exhaust you heard out of Columbia Procycle, was six into six straight pipe.. Big problem with the valk is the engine heat,, it'll really roast your nuts on a hot day..

Re:Rude Bikers 11 Months, 1 Week ago
I ended up behind a R* and 2 HD's on my way home from work today, Followed them from Rogers, Ar. to Gateway where I turned off and they headed on toward Eureka Springs. Weren't a very friendly trio. Was behind them for about 18 miles and one of them kept looking back at me like I wasn't supposed to be occupying asphalt with them. I nodded at him a couple times when he would turn around and glare at me but he didn't acknowledge that I had done anything at all.

I don't think it really matters what horse your saddle is on. Not everyone is as friendly as we would like. If I would have had a good safe section of road I would have just blown on by and left them back there.

They never wave.

I have 3 different waves. My favorite: the arm stretched downward around 7 o clock and 2 fingers extended, then there's the 2" - 3" off the hand grip, and at the last minute. Then there's the arm stretched straight out and the "big" wave. not really sure why I do this. Any one else do the same thing?
