I like the post. I also have a few looks for my Roadie, which I just got back together after some mods. I will get some before and after pics up in a few days.

I don't have a picture when I first bought her but it was a 2 tone purple and dark blue like Heavy Metal's except with oem bags and winbdsheild and pipes...

When I got it:





I knew before getting it that the number plate/indicator had to go so had the replacement tailtidy ready:

Next thing I noticed was that the black side panels and swingarm looked bland so they ended up chrome:



Then I realised the tyres and seat looked like black slabs so it was on with the Avon White Walls and a re-profiled seat:


After I while I got tired of the bike's colour scheme so I imagined a green metal flake with some artwork from the film Excalibur. This was my photoshop test of the colour:



I fancied different bars so I put 12" ape hangers on it and added some 1.5" crash bars:




While the tank and mudguards were away over this last winter I tackled a few other jobs:

Moved fuel pump from left side of engine and made a bracket for new location of choke cable:



Swapped out air intake for a "Jousting-lance" spike:



Smartened up the forks:



Had a new gear linkage made out of Stainless hexagon:



Had seat re-upholstered in brown, and added chrome trims to frame sides:

Mine has gone through several changes over the past 12 years. Top left is shortly after purchasing it new off the show room floor. Bottom right is today.

It seems like it never ends. There's actually 1 more change since that picture was taken and I'm working on one more item that might be hard to see but I won't reveal that till it's done.

I did not want a sound system of any kind, one more thing to maintain that I don't need the headache for. I run bluetooth from my phone to a headset and that works great for me and no one else has to suffer with my taste in music or conservative talk radio. Plus I know when someone calls and can stop and answer or call them back.

Alright, finally had some time to go snap some pics. I still have a few things to do to it, pin striping, change out the signal lenses, modify a stock seat, and a few other small things. This was the goal with this bike when I bought it, to be able to change it to my needs within a few moments.

Here it is after I spent a day cleaning when I bought it last fall. You could not even tell there was a white wall tire on the rear it was so neglected.

Once I modify a stock seat or find a nice solo seat I have a solo rack for the back for yet another look. I also have a shield for the long trips and colder weather.
