No PVC used because I did this without taking the front end apart. If you are careful when drilling the hole, there is no need to disassemble the front end.

Most of the ones I have seen done were done with a change over to tapered roller bearings, so they had the stem out anyway. Your procedure sounds solid to me.

Most here use Photobucket. Right click on the image tab in the drop down menu under the photo on PB, and left click and paste it into your post here.

I used to have a Honda Trail 90 that had real small drain plugs in the bottom of the forks. It was a total piece of cake to drain, flush and refill the forks. I wonder if drain plugs could be drilled, tapped, and installed in the same manner as your cool zerk fitting idea? Oh, and
