So in my long search for the damn gremlin that seems to be pestering my 2000 roadstar, I checked the float level using guidelines from the manual and concluded that the float level was very low compared to correct specs.

I've got to get a new battery for the bike before I can turn the thing over to see if that corrected my problem, but has anyone run into this issue before? When the float level is low, and I mean low, would the bike simply die then start back up fine, or would it sputter and die?

Just curious, and thought all my fellow gearheads on this site would enjoy passing along their tales and possibly insight to the symptoms of the low float level.
