A little tip.... If you can use a dremel cut the weld at the pipe.
once that is done use the dremel to cut the cone in a pie shape
around the whole cone. Makes the cone come out with less pulling and banging leaving a cleaner edge. and less chance of looseing up the head bolts.AS the article shows take a punch and mark at 12,3,6,9. use a smaller bit for smaller holes.then the 1/2inbit in the same holes.
at this point start bike and check your sound if it's fine your done.not done drill the same holes between the others and start to hear the sound.
clean up the metal edges and take some black spray paint for gas grills
and spray paint the inside the pipe. your done.

It looks great and sounds great.JMHO
