Re:Chrome Grab Bar orders 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
New inquiry on an old thread: Has anyone explored having then CNC'ed from a solid piece of aluminum billet? With the price approaching $200 on these, does it become cost effective to do this? Still would love to have one, even bought a used backrest on ebay to see if I could have it modified...

Is there a drawing with dimensions? I have access to a CNC milling machine and would like to see how much trouble it would be to machine one. I believe someone on here already makes and sells these but I'm not sure who. I don't want to step on anyone's toes but if I could make one I would like to try.

Re:Chrome Grab Bar orders 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I build them and don't have any drawings I took a backrest to my machinist and had him machine the "blocks" with one threaded hole then I traced the curve I wanted on a cardboard and took it to a tubing bender company who bent a 20' length of tubing in a coil matching the radius I needed, then I cut them out and weld it to the blocks and grind it smooth have it chromed and sell for $165 shipped.
I checked into having the whole thing cnc'd but, unless I make 500 I can't get the price down to a $200 level with me making only about $20 on each one.

Steven,
Do you currently have any stock for that $165 price?
If so, what is the best way to get the money to you?
