Like posts above, Check the main fuse, and the battery connections. That would be the area for zero electrical power. I'll look over things a bit more.

If everything is dead, it has to be at the ground side of the battery, or the big red positive lead as it goes into the system. The diagram shows it comes off the battery, and then ties in between the main fuse and the starter motor relay. If it won't turn over, it could still be just on the main fuse side, because if the main fuse is not powered, or is blown, the start switch logic is not operable.

Ok, I'm still missing something though. You have mentioned the "Main" fuse before. Is this located in the small fuse box behind the left side panel? I have checked each fuse in there but none of them are labeled "Main" There is a 15 amp fuse labeled "Ignition and that one is fine as well.

I'm going to have to go to Curt's site and download the tech manual so I can see these diagrams exploded out a bit.

Thanks everyone for chiming in on this, it's a mission now to get to the bottom of it. I have four days to mess around with it starting tomorrow so we'll see how far I get before I throw in the towel, kind of hoping not to have to do that though, a little bit of pride and a lot of bit of lack of funds for the bike. I guess once the wife sees me filling up the titan twice a week some money will pop up.

Main fuse on an 08 is under the right side cover and it's a lot bigger than the other fuses.

Back in action.

Thanks again guys for all the input.

After digging up the tech manual I'd downloaded a while ago. (Most of the links on the site are old and direct you to pages that are no longer active) I found the main fuse location, was kind of wondering why there wasn't anything listed as "Main" in the fuse box. As it turns out the main fuse is located behind the left hand side panel just a bit back from the fuse box and right beside the Starter relay coupler and the Thermo switch/coupler.

This 30amp fuse was just sitting there, as if it had just fallen out of its seat. Once I reseated this the bike, as expected, came back to life. It still will not start, so I have to tackle that next.

I can not fathom how that fuse could have just been sitting there. It must have had just enough contact to get me started in the morning and then fell out once I parked it. It does sit lower on that side once on the side stand. It seems to make a good seat when placed back in and it has a small plastic cap that snaps into place over the fuse for protection.

Needless to say I'm dumbfounded as to how the bike ran at all. All I can think is that it must have been partially seated and while I was looking at the other fuses I moved it enough for it to completely fall out.

Now to figure out why it will not start. Onto the switch coupler in the headlight can.

At least you're making progress. I can't believe that fuse fell out like that either. I could kinda see it vibrating out while riding but to get home and parked before it completely came out is weird. Hope you can get it started now.

Finally!!! Success via humility

I pull the head lamp bucket apart again to double check the "Engine Stop Switch" coupler connection and low and behold I never put it back together.

Snap it back together, turn the key and all looks good except my headlight isn't on.

Crank the bike over and it starts no problem, but still no headlight.

Check the continuity on the lamp and not a single pole has good continuity but the high beam still works. Go figure. Pulled out an older lamp that I had replaced years ago for a brighter lamp and it works like a charm. Ran out to Autozone, bought a new headlamp, put it in and everything seems to be correct. The only thing I have not heard kick in is the fuel pump, but since the bike started right up I was thinking it might have still been primed???

Anyway, gonna go throw on some long sleeves and some jeans and take it out for a test run.

Crossin' my fingers.

Nice work man. That's freaky with that main fuse coming out! What a deal. It will probably run just fine.

Glad you got it running. Hopefully you won't have any more problems with it.

I haven't heard him in years, but there was(maybe is?) a radio guy named Dr. Dean Addell(sp?). He was talking about new young doctors diagnosing problems. He said more often then not, when they hear hoof beats, they start looking for zebras instead of just regular old horses. Glad your scoots up and running, "Stocked".

I haven't heard him in years either, but it's probably because I decided to listen to Rock N Roll instead of gloom and doom. The supreme court says today I gotta carry insurance or get "taxed" for not, and get nothing for that money, but I'm listening to Jack White right now, and I ain't gonna worry about it!

That ride must be going OK, since we haven't heard back!
