More stopping power, and lasts longer. I have almost 10K on mine and it hardly looks like it's broke in yet.

Running a 150/80 Metz front on mine, thats the same tire on Royal Stars, fills out the stock fender real nice, and looks better!

here is a good shot of the same tire that you are asking about on the front . this tire is a 150/80/16

you also get more tread depth with a rear tire then you do for a front, if i am wrong some one tune in.

Ditto on that, I went with the 140 pirelli because I wasn't sure it would fit with the Barons Bobbed fender. Next time I'll use the 150. I have 9,000 miles on mine and still looks brand new and wearing perfect.

The rear is usually 2mm deeper tread than the front on the MT66. They took that data off the web site, but I ran several sets of them. The center may be a different compound as well. I have a Commander 130/90 rear on my front with 7,000 miles on it, and it still looks practically new. Have not had any handling or traction issues, and I push the tires hard.
