I hope they don't give me and crap for asking, but I'm seriously going to do it. Also do a time to distance @ 60mph, 70mph and 80mph using a stopwatch. The owners (specially accident victims and their family members) would then sue the manufacture for negligence claiming they produce unsafe vehicles causing the accident and or violation. The manufactures insurance would sky rocket and recalls would have to be done and bad publicity. Similar to what happened to Toyota about a year ago. They are in the clear when it's set a little low. Just my $.02 Sounds like a very reasonable $.02. I, for one, don't mind it. I know its there but more often then not I still cruise at what looks like 75. If that saves me from a ticket, great! In order to ensure the standard is met, they typically aim at the middle.
