HELP......Ape Hanger pictures/info 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Im ready to purchase a set of ape hangers for my R* but I dont know what I want. I know I want 16"-18" with internal wiring, but other than that im lost. I know there are pictures of bikes with them on here but no dedicated thread with info. Can yall post a pic of your apes and give me a little info about your set up? Ex: Height, width, brand/model, cables/length, website, cost and anything else I need to know. All info appreciated

I'm running 16" Kong bars, but they actually measure 17". They're 1 1/4" diameter, cables are +9 or 10 I can't remember exact. I scored them off of Craigslist for cheap, thenhad them powdercoated.

here are my 10' baby apes. they require no changes in and hoses or cables. I bought them on EBay for 40.00. it was my only expense so it was a cheap mod. I drilled and wired them internally also for that nice clean look.

Flanders 16" apes
Barons Steel Braded Cables (break, throttle, Clutch) for the Kong Bar (I know there are better deals out there than what I paid)
4 spools 25' of 18 ga wire (different colors), solder, flux

Time - one evening to run the wirers and solder the connections at both ends. About 1-1/2 hours mount the bars connect the cables and bleed the brakes the next morning.

When extending the wiring make sure you stagger the splices approx. 1" or you will get a thick spot in your wiring bundle. I reused the connectors inside the headlamp on the other end. I also used silicon spray inside the handlebars and used eclectic tape around the wires when I ran them through the bars.

I do a lot of shopping on ebay. What do I search for? When I search for Roadstar ape hangers I never get anything. Also, will I still be able to use factory risers?

I like the look of your bars. I looked on Khrome Werks website and couldnt find them for a roadstar. Am I doing something wrong? Do you have a model
